I Need Your Help

Over a Billion Dollars!!! Can you believe that? The movie Avatar has already made over a billion dollars!! We went to Tempe to see it in 3-D at the IMAX on Tuesday for Sage's birthday and I have to admit it was a great experience. I found myself ducking and trying to brush things away from in my face.

The story was not earth shattering but it was well put together and a totally awesome thing to watch. Although my screwed up eyes have some trouble with 3-D as a rule, most of this worked for me. I do suggest, however, that if you go to an IMAX to see it you sit towards the back and in the center. We were stuck on the edge of the 3rd row and it was a bit distorted.

The most astounding thing to me was that some guy (or girl) wrote a story and they added all these special effects and they made A BILLION DOLLARS!!!

So here is the BEST idea I've come up with today.

I want to make a billion dollars, But I'd settle for a half a billion or even a paltry million. So I need all 22 of my loyal followers and all of you who read this but don't identify yourselves as followers to grab your plastic and buy my book "The Tree at the Top of the Hill" . If each of you buys half a dozen copies for your middle school kids, grand kids, and neighbor's kids and tells all of your followers to do the same then the buzz will be on.

Then we'll see if we can get Will Smith or Jamie Fox to play Mr. Freeman. Josh Holloway from Lost would be perfect for the father. I'll want approval of the next precocious juvenile lead of course to be Turtle. Then I'll turn over my post civil war coming of age tale to the special effects person. I wonder what they'll make of the hill and the tree?

There is a slight opening for a sequel so perhaps a franchise will develop. Who knows where we could end up?

Oh well, our best dreams can come true once in awhile. Right?

See ya down the road,
Yarntangler

At least the odds in your favor would be better than playing the Power-Ball.
