It has been horrible here today. Where we are, outside of Tucson, it's all fine sand and despite the fact that it rained buckets last night, several thousand tons of that sand have blown past us today.
I-10 has been closed and the sand storms have made it appear like it was twilight all day long.
The Geez took Clancy out for a very brief walk and she couldn't pee fast enough for it to hit the ground it blew away from her! Luckily, Geezerguy was standing upwind.
In the meantime, the weather guys are now telling us there's a chance of tornadoes tonight and snow by Saturday-in Tucson itself! So we'll see what's about to happen.
On the other side of town, my kids are creating some action of their own. We caught Sage on TV yesterday for a moment when the News team did a piece on the Air Force' Support effort for Haitian relief. He didn't know he'd been on camera. He and the men and women at Davis-Monthan AFB have been working around the clock to get those supplies to the people who need then so badly.
And on the Civilian front, Lone Duck put in a couple of long intensive days at World Care sorting thousands of pounds of those donations before they were trucked to the base. My kids are doing their BEST to help in a time of need and I'm proud of them and their fellows.
Well, the motor home is beginning to rock a bit more and it's getting pretty loud so I think this is going to be it for the night.
But just in case you still don't understand just how weird it was here today think about this. The Geez, who normally spends a good portion of his day outside, today hunkered down and learned to play Super Farkle!
See ya down the road,
Yarntangler

Thank you for your phone call just now checking to see if we were okay here. No dust storms because everything was just too soggy. But, apparently that was indeed a tornado. Hope there is nothing more tonight, but fingers crossed. Please let loneduck and Noel know they're dong a wonderful thing.
This is the weirdest weather - for a while thought I was back in the Pacific Northwest. However, the tornado reminded me too much of Oklahoma. Hang in there. Poor Clancy!
whats super farkle?
We had horrific winds plus rain in Quartzsite. The rig was rockin'! Enough rain, though, so no sand storms. We experienced that outside Tucson on our last visit- the only place to be is inside when one of those hits.
