A Mom's BEST Friend is Her Computer Geek

One of the BEST things that has happened for us recently was having our "lost pictures" returned to us by Sage Words and his friend The Other Geek. We thought they had been lost, four years worth of pictures from our 2nd life, when our hard drive crashed last Spring. But these two guys made it their mission to retrieve them for us. We are now in the process of resorting them and trying to make some sense of them .

Since that's what is occupying my time right now, I should give you a heads up. My BEST blogs for the next little while will have lots of pictures. Hopefully, you'll enjoy them because we get some pretty quirky shots sometimes.

It was looking pretty bleak in my picture albums until those guys proved that hope springs eternal-if you know the right techie! Just to remind those of you who are freezing out there, that Spring will come again to you too, here are some of my favorite non snowy pictures.

Arkansas
Funny what you can find behind an outhouse!

Texas
I made Geezer stop the motor home and we walked about a quarter mile back so I could get this lone flower and I don't even know what it's called.

South DakotaAll the Sunflowers in this several acre field were facing the same way. This was taken in the morning and they faced East. Someone told me after lunch they all turn West.... uh... I'm not that gullible... but just in case, I'm taking the camcorder Duckie gave me for Christmas, next time we go there!

California
I love this shot! I have about six more of all kinds of butterflies taken that afternoon in a vacant lot filled with junk and thistles.

ArizonaJim took this one right up the road last fall.

One last tidbit- the BEST advice I can share with all my friends;
Back up your pictures-now!

See ya down the road,
Yarntangler

I love the pictures! My favorite is the one with the butterfly. Keep on posting! Thank God for computer geeks. I have my hubby as one.

I remember when we got those shots. It is nice to have them back, and the memories that go with them.

Word of the day...specas: something that happens to the word "spaces" when it gets caught in an electric mixer for a very short time. (I know it's lame; sorry.)

Indeed, computer geek is your best friend. Those are really awesome pictures and I find those sunflowers that are facing in the same direction strange. Well, maybe because of the wind or the sunlight. Good thing we have some computer geek to help us fix some issues. It’s really difficult to lose some important and beautiful pictures like what you have posted here.
